On November 30, 2023, The Perry Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling without lights. Upon stopping the vehicle, Officers met with the vehicle operator Colin McMurtry, 43, of Castile, NY.
A license check revealed McMurtry to be operating the vehicle with a suspended non driver ID. McMurtry had 12 suspensions on 5 separate dates.
McMurtry is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and ticketed for unlicensed operator and operating a vehicle with no lights. McMurtry was issued an appearance ticket for Perry Village Court on December 12, 2023

Perry, NY – Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of Timothy Thomas, 51, and Amzi Ethridge, 30, both of Rochester, NY.
On December 8, 2023, the Perry Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered that that the vehicle operator, Timothy Thomas, was allegedly operating the motor vehicle impaired by drugs. Thomas performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while ability impaired by drugs by Officer Spink.
A drug influence evaluation was performed, and Thomas was found to allegedly be impaired by cannabis and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. During a search of the vehicle several pipes consistent with drug use were found.
Thomas is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree. A passenger in the vehicle, Amzi Ethridge was found to allegedly be in possession of a pipe consistent with drug use. Ethridge was charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree. Ethridge and Thomas were issued appearance tickets for Perry Village Court on January 9, 2024 to answer the charges.

On December 9, 2023, The Perry Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, it was suspected that that the vehicle operator, Karen Giles, 43, of Castile, NY, was operating the motor vehicle while allegedly intoxicated.
Giles submitted to field sobriety testing and was ultimately arrested for driving while intoxicated. Officer Spink performed a breath test at the Perry Police Department which determined Giles to have .18% BAC. Giles was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher.
Giles was released to a sober third party and issued an appearance ticket for Perry Village Court on January 9, 2024 to answer the charges.

On December 1, 2023, at about 01:30a.m., The Perry Police Department responded to a business for a report of suspicious activity. When arriving on scene, Officer Spink and Officer D. Spink met with a male and female walking away from the business.
The female was later identified as Lea Falcone, 39, of Fillmore, NY.
Falcone had an active superior court warrant out of Alleghany County dating back to September 2023. Falcone allegedly gave Officers a different name to avoid being arrested on the superior court warrant. Falcone was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation in the second degree.
She was issued an appearance ticket for Perry Village Court on December 12, 2023. Falcone was turned over to the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Department on the superior court warrant.
