PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident following a DWI investigation by the Perry Police Department.
On December 14, 2023, at approximately 11:41p.m., Officer Kramell conducted a traffic stop on Leicester Street for multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
Upon interacting with the driver, 30-year-old Andrew L. Davis, of Perry, NY, Officer Kramell suspected Davis to be intoxicated. Officer Kramell requested Davis submit to standardized field sobriety tests, which he complied. Davis allegedly did not perform the tests as instructed and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Davis was processed at the Perry Police Department, where he voluntarily submitted to a chemical breath test to determine his blood alcohol content (BAC). The chemical test revealed that Davis had a BAC of .21%.
Davis is charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, insufficient turn signal, DWI, and driving with a BAC of .18% or more.
Davis was released to a sober third party per NYS bail reform laws and is to appear in Perry Village Court on 01/09/2024.
