WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/March 13, 2024

On March 1, 2024, at about 11:28p.m., deputies with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office
and troopers with the New York State Police were dispatched to the Colonial Motel on
Route 19A in the Town of Genesee Falls, for the third-party report of a domestic between a male
and female.

The complainant advised they were there to pick up the involved female.

While responding to the scene, the Wyoming County 911 Center received a call from a female
that had been involved in a motor vehicle accident after leaving a domestic incident at the
Colonial Motel. A deputy rerouted to the accident scene and additional units were requested to
the area. Once on scene at the motor vehicle accident, it was alleged that the male involved with
the domestic incident had followed the female and ran her off the roadway. The female driver
was transported to the Wyoming County Community Hospital for further evaluation by the Pike
Fire Department.

Following an on-scene investigation, Colin McMurtry, 41, of Silver Lake, was arrested and
charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree,
aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree, unlicensed operator
and following too closely.

McMurtry was processed and released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Genesee Falls Court at a later date.

Following a traffic accident on Route 39 in the Town of Arcade, Page K. Cook, 33, of
Yorkshire, NY, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree.

Cook was found to be at fault for the accident after failing to yield for a vehicle at an
intersection.

Further investigation showed that Cook was also operating a vehicle while his license was suspended. Cook was processed roadside and given an appearance ticket. Cook is due back in the Town of Arcade Court on 03/14/24 at 3:00 pm

On February 29, 2024 at approximately 1:15p.m., deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon, after observing multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Abigail F. Baer.

A DMV check revealed that Baer was operating with a suspended New York State Driver’s License and a Suspended Registration.

Baer is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, operating while registration is suspended/revoked, unregistered motor vehicle, and uninspected motor vehicle. BAER was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.

On March 2, 2024 at approximately 4:47p.m., a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Perry, after observing a
violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Shengwei HE. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the registration of the vehicle was suspended due to insurance not in effect.

Shengwei HE was subsequently charged with VTL 512 – Operating While Registration Suspended/Revoked and 319(1U) – Operating Without Insurance. Shengwei was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Perry Court at a later date.

On March 5th, 2024, at around 3:19pm, a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was
patrolling westbound on Route 39, in the Town of Pike, when a vehicle was observed traveling eastbound with an expired New York State inspection sticker. A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted on State Route 39 near State Route 19.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Tyler J. Dunlop , 29, of Conesus. During the traffic
stop, it was discovered that Dunlop’s vehicle was suspended for insurance not in effect, had no
valid insurance on the vehicle, was uninspected and Dunlop’s license was also suspended in New
York State. Dunlop was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor
Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended/Revoked Registration,
Operating Without Insurance and Uninspected Motor Vehicle. Dunlop was processed roadside
and released on an appearance ticket where he is scheduled to appear in the Pike Town Court at a
later date.

Daniel L Ferron of Pike, NY was arrested following a reported domestic incident which occurred
at a residence on Main Street in the Village of Pike. Ferron was charged with Criminal
Obstruction of Breathing. Ferron was arraigned in Gainesville Town Court, and due to New
York Bail reform was released on his own recognassaince. Ferron is scheduled to appear in Pike
Town Court 06/11/24.

  1. Really silly that our BRAVE MEMBERS of law enforcement risk their lives daily to help keep us all safe and these criminals are released time after time with no punishment!
