On 3/27/2024, Luc A. Baillargeon, 42, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Menacing 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. Baillargeon allegedly threw a knife at another person during an altercation on Prospect Avenue. He is also accused of violating an order of protection by sending text messages to the protected person. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released. He is due back in court on 4/16/2024.

On 3/29/2024, George J. Budzinack, 44, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Petit Larceny. Budzinack allegedly stole merchandise from Tops. He was previously trespassed after allegedly being arrested for stealing from the store. Budzinack was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail. On 3/28/2024, Nathan W. Campbell, 43, of Batavia, NY, was charged with Trespass. It’s alleged that Campbell went into the Save-A-Lot store after previously being trespassed. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/9/2024. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
On 4/1/2024, Patricia M. Anderson, 39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on two warrants, both for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. The first warrant is related to an incident in August of 2023, where Anderson was allegedly found in possession of cocaine while being arrested on an unrelated warrant. The second warrant stems from an incident in October of 2023, where Anderson was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl while again being arrested on another unrelated warrant. She was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________
On 3/29/2024, Douglas G. Bryant, 52, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. It’s alleged that Bryant violated an order of protection by making a post on social media about the protected person. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail. On 3/29/2024, Michael C. Smith, 32, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. Smith allegedly stole merchandise from Tops and fled the store. Tops employees followed him to the area of West Avenue and Union Street, where police took him into custody. He was issued an appearance ticket and turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department on an outstanding warrant. He is due in court on 4/9/2024.
