The Stafford Volunteer Fire Department held their 2024 Installation and Awards Banquet at the Batavia Country Club on Saturday evening.
The department completed 1,303 training hours for both EMS and Fire. 847 of the hours were on the fire side covering topics such as SCBA confidence, hose line skills, ladder training, ventilation, gas emergencies, EVOC, vehicle extrication, and pump operations.

EMS Captain Randal Henning reports 456 hours of EMS Training covering topics such as CPR, blood pathogens, basic first aid, firefighter CPR, patient extrication, and patient packaging. Two members received their EMT Certification in 2023, which requires over 150 hours of classroom work, ambulance ride along time, and taking the state certification test.

The Stafford Fire Department responded to 284 calls in 2023, 60% were EMS calls. Genesee County Deputy Fire Coordinator Chuck Dodson swears in the 2024 officers of the department.
