BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/May 13, 2024

On 5/8/2024, Brandon J. March, 39, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Strangulation 2nd degree, Criminal Contempt 1st degree, Assault 3rd degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd degree, and Menacing 2nd degree. It’s alleged that March violated a stay-away order of protection during an altercation on S. Lyon Street by strangling the victim and not allowing the victim to leave the residence and striking the victim multiple times, causing injury. He was also charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief 4th degree in relation to an incident that occurred the previous day, when he damaged a car window belonging to the same victim. He was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond and $25,000 partially secured bond. He is due in Batavia City Court, on 5/21/2024

On 5/3/2024, Jason E. Carpenter, 45, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd degree. It’s alleged that Carpenter damaged a toilet inside a residence on West Main Street. After being issued an appearance ticket for that offense, he allegedly set the appearance ticket on fire and threw an object through a window at the same residence. He was issued another appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court, on 5/14/2024.

On 5/3/2024, Paul W. Zeches, 35, of Caledonia, NY was arrested for Failing to Report Change of Address as a Sex Offender. Zeches, a Level 2 sex offender, allegedly failed to report a change of address to NYS. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.

On 5/7/2024, Thomas L. Predmore, 71, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree and Petit Larceny. Predmore allegedly stole a wallet, from another customer at a business on East Main Street. Predmore was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court, on 5/21/2024.

On 4/30/2024, Sharon R. Boyer, 55, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Boyer was arrested following a traffic stop that was initiated by two Batavia Police Officers who were conducting a foot patrol. The officers were crossing the street in the crosswalk at Hutchins Street and Sumner Street, when Boyer allegedly failed to yield to them and almost struck them with her vehicle. The officers told Boyer to stop her vehicle and began speaking with her. Boyer was subsequently arrested for DWI. She was issued several traffic tickets and turned over to the New York State Police on an outstanding warrant. She is due in Batavia City Court, on 5/15/2024.

On 5/7/2024, Justin M. Wotherspoon, 37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested for Assault 3rd degree. Wotherspoon was arrested after an altercation on Clifton Avenue where he allegedly pushed another person to the ground and dragged her by her hair. Wotherspoon was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

On 5/5/2024, Jessica L. Maye, 30, of Riga, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Maye allegedly failed to appear on a misdemeanor traffic ticket that was issued to her in February of 2024. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released. She is due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.

On 5/5/2024, Johnathan M. Falk, 25, of Batavia, NY was arrested on an arrest warrant. Falk was initially charged with Petit Larceny on 4/23/2024, after stealing merchandise from Tops. The warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released. He is due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.

On 4/27/2024, Perrion T. Swan, 33, of Rochester, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Swan allegedly failed to appear on a misdemeanor traffic ticket that he received in August of 2023. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

On 5/2/2024, Nathan W. Campbell, 43, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Campbell was initially charged with Trespass on 3/28/2024 and issued an appearance ticket. The warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court. Campbell was arraigned in Batavia City Court where the case was settled.

On 5/6/2024, Jackie M. Shade, 34, of Le Roy, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Shade was issued a misdemeanor traffic ticket in March of 2024. The warrant was issued after she failed to appear in court. Shade was arraigned in CAP Court and released. She is due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.
