On May 18, 2024 at approximately 1:30p.m., a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office arrested Russian J. Habeeb, 26, of Buffalo, NY, on a fugitive from justice warrant.
The warrant was out of Dawson County, Georgia for shoplifting charges. Habeeb was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court in front of the Honorable Judge Fusani and the Wyoming County Public Defender’s Office was present to represent Habeeb.
Following arraignment Habeeb was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail awaiting extradition from Dawson County, Georgia.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher A. Baker, 36, of Fillmore, NY, following a traffic
stop on Route 78 in the Town of Sheldon on May 23, 2024 at 5:07a.m..
Deputies on patrol observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit of 55 MPH. A traffic stop was conducted, and an investigation found that Baker’s license was currently revoked in New York State.
Baker was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree and issued citations for speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation. He will answer the charges on June 17, 2024, in the
Town of Sheldon Court.

On May 22, 2024, at approximately 1:50p.m., a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office arrested Douglas P. Seymour, 66, of Cuba, NY on an arrest warrant.
The warrant issued out of State Police Machias for criminal mischief charges. Seymour was turned over to State Police for processing and arraignment.

Melvin C. Franklin, 56, of Delevan, NY, was arrested by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office after
contact was made during a complaint in their jurisdiction.
It was found that Franklin had a current Superior Court Warrant for his arrest in Wyoming County. The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office took custody of Franklin and he was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail to await the next possible appearance in Wyoming County Court.

Ashley A. Demun, 38, and Charles Pendziwiatr, 42, both of Geneseo, NY, were both arrested on May 21, 2024, by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office following a complaint of two people passed out in a
motor vehicle at a local business on Rt. 19 in the Town of Warsaw.
Deputies located both subjects inside of the car with alleged drug paraphernalia in plain view.
While awakening Demun, she attempted to conceal the drug paraphernalia from deputy’s view.
Both were interviewed and Demun was found to be the vehicle operator and following field
sobriety testing was placed under arrest for DWAI-drugs.
Pendziwiatr was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree and criminal use
of drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to court at
a later date.
Demun was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, criminal use of drug
paraphernalia 2nd degree, tampering with physical evidence, aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree and 2nd degree, and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Demun was arraigned in the Town
of Warsaw Court for the purpose of license revocation due to refusing a blood draw. She had her
license revoked and was released with a later court date.
