On June 7, 2024, Le Roy Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 19 near Bacon Street, the vehicle led police on a brief pursuit and during the pursuit the vehicle was involved in a minor accident on Pleasant Street and bumped a house causing minor damage.
The female driver of the vehicle has pending charges. The male passenger, Nathan L. Royse, 32, of Batavia, NY, fled the scene after the accident. Royse is wanted on warrants and is on parole (read above). Le Roy Police with the assistance of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department, City of Batavia Police K-9 officer and the ERT Team, searched the area for about four hours, however Royse was not located.
