The William F. Brown, Jr. scholarship is given annually by The Jerome Foundation in memory of Mr. Brown, who was a local journalist, author, business owner of WBTA, community leader, and volunteer.
Mr. Brown was also a Charter member of The Jerome Foundation Board of Trustees.
The award is for $1000 a year for four years given to a graduating Senior from a Genesee County School who will be majoring in the fields of journalism, marketing, communications or public relations.
This year’s recipient is Anna Long, a graduating Senior at Le Roy Central School, who will be attending Syracuse University majoring in Magazine, News and Digital Journalism.
