On June 13, 2024, at 3:10 P.M., Troopers out of SP Albion responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Knowlesville Road and State Route 104 in the town of Ridgeway.
Investigation determined that a 2021 Subaru operated by Sandra J. Gapa, 64, of Lyndonville, NY was traveling northbound on Knowlesville Road and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with State Route 104. Gapa entered the intersection and was struck by a 2004 GMC traveling westbound on State Route 104. Gapa was pronounced deceased at the scene by Orleans County Coroner.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.
They need to reduce the speed limit in this area there are bad accidents here all the time .
