Twin sisters Deb Rowland, who is an Airbnb host, and Lenora Kohorst, who owns Kozy Kabin in Corfu, have come together to provide the community with a new party venue at 10 East Main Street in Corfu.
Deb owns the Gathering Place on Main and Lenora has joined her to bring a convenient and comfortable place that provides space for up to 48 people. Rental includes tables, chairs, a bar area, light use of the kitchen area for warming, and an outdoor seating area with fireplace. Included with the rental is clean up of the space after the event.
Customers can bring their own caterer or choose from a recommended list.
“The opportunity arose and we’re available and this is what we love to do,” says Deb Rowland, owner.
“We both have skill sets that coincide with each other and so we’re going to work together for the community and have some place nice to come to for a gathering of pretty much anything.”
A Grand Opening will be held on Sunday, June 30th from 12:30-3:30p.m.
Currently, there is a savings of 25% off on any booking made in the month of July for any event held at the Gathering Place on Main. in 2024. There is also 25% off for military, funeral gatherings and not for profit groups.
“We have a big family and when winter comes around for Christmas and birthdays, we don’t have a place to go,” says Lenora Kohorst.
“My mom’s house is way too small and our family is growing, so something like this was always on our mind to rent and so now we can offer this to other people as well. There are firehalls, but this is more intimate and has everything that you need.”
