PERRY POLICE REPORT/July 5, 2024

Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident following a 9-1-1 call to a residence on Lake Street for a domestic disturbance.

Perry Police officer Zack Fleiss arrested Devin B. Garra, 21, of Perry, NY, charging him with Harassment 2nd degree/physical contact, a violation, and Criminal Contempt 2nd degree/disobey a court order, after he allegedly caused injury to a female victim after a physical altercation where he allegedly struck the victim in the chest with a closed fist.

Garra was arraigned in Perry Village Court on the charges by the Honorable Judge Kelsey, who remanded Garra to the Wyoming County Jail. A full stay away order of protection was issued for the victim.

The Perry Police Department was assisted by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.
