Shawn M. Sloan, 39, of Batavia, NY, is charged with promoting prison contraband 1st degree and conspiracy 5th degree after he allegedly conspired with another person to introduce contraband into a correctional facility, 14 West Main Street the Genesee County Jail on June 23, 2024.
Sloan was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on bail.

Brian D. Gilfilian, 44, of Greece, NY, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and illegal signal/less than 100 feet, on July 10, 2024 on Oak Orchard Road in the Town of Batavia.
Deputies say Gilfilian was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol on Rt. 98.
He was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was released on appearance tickets. Gilfilian is scheduled to appear in the Batavia Town Court on July 23, 2024 at 1:00p.m.

Phillip L. Preston, 50, of Alabama, NY, is charged with harassment 2nd degree after allegedly entering a business on Bloomingdale Road in Alabama on July 5, 2024 and allegedly harassing a worker.
Preston was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Alabama Town Court on August 6, 2024 at 6:00p.m.

Joseph M. Degweck, 52, of East Aurora, NY, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd degree after allegedly violating a full stay away order of protection that was issued by Pembroke Town Court.
Degweck was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was held for arraignment in CAP Court on July 8, 2024 at 9:00a.m.

Justine D. Wood, 37, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree after she was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine on Woodland Drive on July 10, 2024.
Wood was held pending a CAP Court arraignment.

Bonnie L. Cortright, 37, of Batavia, NY is charged with petit larceny at a business on Veteran’s Memorial Drive (no address provided) on July 10, 2024 at 9:30p.m.
Cortright was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Batavia Town Court on July 22, 2024 at 10:00a.m.
