RTS Genesee Route Improvements Will Begin August 12, 2024

Rochester, NY: On Monday, August 12, 2024, Regional Transit Service (RTS) will implement changes to its route service in Genesee County. The changes will improve the frequency of routes in Batavia and LeRoy, simplify the route structure, and provide RTS enhanced ability to improve service through reliability and new destinations.
“We are excited to introduce these new and improved routes for RTS customers in Genesee County,” said RTS CEO Miguel Velázquez. “By simplifying the route structure, expanding the service day, and increasing the frequency of service, we are making it easier for our customers to reach the destinations that are most important to them.”
Current State of Service
RTS Genesee currently has two routes – Route 211 (Batavia) and Route 214 (LeRoy). Route 211 runs from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with 12 trips per day and 45-minute frequency while serving approximately 60 customers per day. Route 214 runs from 7:30 am – 2:30 pm, with three trips to LeRoy per day and varying frequency, while serving approximately 20 customers per day.
New RTS Genesee Service
Starting Monday, August 12, the new RTS Genesee route service will have four routes, all of which will run Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm:
- Route 210: Batavia West
- Serving Big Tree Glen, the VA, Tops, Walmart, Target.
- Route 211: Batavia South
- Serving Birchwood Place, the VA, Tops, Walmart, Target.
- Route 212: Batavia East
- Serving 400 Towers, Washington Towers, UMMC, DSS.
- Route 214: LeRoy/Stafford
- Serving Royal Apartments, Tops, Sav-a-Lot, LeRoy Meadows, DSS.
- Provides service within LeRoy and a connection to Batavia.
- Serving Royal Apartments, Tops, Sav-a-Lot, LeRoy Meadows, DSS.
All routes will meet at a common transfer point at City Center. Dial-a-Ride Service will also remain as a service option.
New RTS Genesee Schedules
