GENESEE COUNTY/Rochester man charged after lengthy high-speed pursuit

Edward D. Grant III, 28, of Rochester, NY, is charged with reckless endangerment 1st degree, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle 3rd degree, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, reckless driving, speed exceeding 55mph, and many other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations, after fleeing from a traffic stop on Rt. 33 in Stafford on July 25, 2024 at 4:24p.m.

Grant led police on a high-speed pursuit from the Town of Stafford through the Town of Batavia and City of Batavia and then on to the NYS Thruway.

Grant was taken into custody on the NYS Thruway after his vehicle became disabled due to a spike strip deployment.

He was transported to the Genesee County Jail pending arraignment this morning.
