WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/July 27, 2024

On 7/4/2024, Russell Malcomb, 53, of Castile NY, was arrested on an Indictment Warrant issued by
Wyoming County Court.

Malcomb was indicted by the Wyoming County Grand Jury on two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony), two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor).

Malcomb is accused of possessing and selling cocaine in the Town of Castile.

He was arraigned in Wyoming County Court on 7/5/2024, and released on his own recognizance in accordance with NYS Bail Laws.

Wyoming County Drug Task Force is a multi-police agency unit which investigates
narcotic investigations in Wyoming County.

Following a traffic stop for a speeding violation on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on July 14, 2024,
James F. Lambert, 61 of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed
Operation in the Third Degree.

Lambert had one active suspension on his New York license for failure to pay a driver responsibility assessment fee in 2016.

Lambert was processed roadside and issued an appearance ticket, he is due back in the Town of
Sheldon Court on 07/29/24.

Antonio L. Campbell, 44, no known address, was arrested following an investigation where he had allegedly broken into a camper on Silver Springs Road in the Town of Gainesville on June 13, 2024.

It was reported that the owner of the property had witnessed Campbell on his property and later found that their camper was entered unlawfully. Deputies were unable to locate Campbell that day and later issued an arrest warrant, charging him with Criminal Trespass in the second degree.

Deputies were notified that Campbell had been arrested in Allegany County for a similar incident
and was currently being held in their jail. Campbell was released from Allegany County on
07/19/2024 and taken into custody by Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Campbell was arraigned in the Village of Perry Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of
$2500 bail. Campbell is due back in the Town of Gainesville Court on 08/05/24.

On July 12, 2024, at about 12:35a.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the 7-Eleven parking lot on Market Street in the Village of Attica to assist the
Attica Police Department on a traffic stop.

The Attica Police Officer believed the driver was under the influence and requested a deputy to the scene to conduct a roadside DWI investigation.

Following a roadside DWI investigation, Zachary St. Peter,22, of Rome, NY, was arrested and charged with
driving while intoxicated and transported to the Attica Police Department where he submitted to
a Datamatser DMT breath test, which showed St. Peter’s blood alcohol content was over .08%.

St. Peter was ultimately charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving
with a BAC .08% or more. St. Peter was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Disobeying a Traffic Control Device and Failure to Use Turn Signal by the Attica Police Department.

St. Peter was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Attica Village Court at a later date.

On July 13th, 2024, at about 1:01a.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was
patrolling southbound on Route 98 in the Town of Java, when a vehicle traveling
southbound was observed crossing the centerline of the roadway and traveling at a high rate of
speed.

A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted near Chaffee Road and the driver
was identified as Emily A. Prior, 25, of Arcade, NY.

While interviewing Prior, the deputy believed she was allegedly under the influence and conducted a
roadside DWI investigation, which included standardized field sobriety testing. Following
standardized field sobriety testing, Prior was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated
and was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where she submitted to a
Datamaster DMT breath test.
Prior was ultimately charged with Driving While Intoxicated, driving with a .08%BAC or more and Failure to Keep Right.

Prior was processed and released on an appearance ticket, and she is scheduled to appear in the Java
Town Court at a later date.

On July 12th, 2024, at about 5:32p.m., deputies with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office
responded to a residence on North Main Street in the Village of Gainesville, for the report of a
physical fight between two males.

Once on scene, it was discovered that Brian Lanpher, 48, of Gainesville, NY had gotten into a physical altercation with the victim and left the scene. Lanpher was later located at the New York State Police barracks in Warsaw and following an on scene investigation. Lanpher was taken into custody and ultimately charged with Assault in the 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree.

Lanpher was arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Errington, of the Warsaw Village Court,
and following arraignment, Lanpher was released on his own recognizance due to the charges
not qualifying for bail. Lanpher is scheduled to appear in the Gainesville Town Court at a later
date.

On July 25th, 2024, at about 2:25a.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was
patrolling westbound on Route 78 in the Town of Wethersfield, when a vehicle was
observed parked on the south shoulder of the roadway near Sheppard Road with its lights on and
motor running. A community wellness check was conducted and during the check, it was
discovered that the vehicle’s registration was suspended for insurance not in effect.

Brett S. Johnson, 37, of Gainesville, NY, was identified as the driver of the vehicle and was
subsequently arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended
Registration and Operating without Insurance.

Johnson was processed roadside and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Wethersfield
Town Court at a later date.
