The Fair is located at 70 Main Street in Pike, NY and admission to the grounds is free.  A day parking pass at the Fair is $10 per vehicle, or patrons may purchase an eight-day parking pass for $35.  (Pre-sale passes are available in county banks for $30).

“The best time of year is Wyoming County Fair week,” said Eric Szucs, Wyoming County Director of Tourism.  “It is a fantastic way to showcase our community, what makes us so unique and educate visitors and tourists from Western New York, Finger Lakes and beyond.  We are extremely appreciative of the Fair Association volunteers, the vendors, and the exhibitors for making the Wyoming County Fair a must-visit event!”

The strength of the Fair is its multi-generational approach to the competitions and exhibits.  The focal point at the North end of the Fairgrounds is the many animals being shown by local youths, ranging from cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, to poultry, cavies and rabbits.  In the Youth Building, youth exhibits and activities also include horticulture, family and consumer science, engineering, technology, visual arts, natural resources, dog care and obedience and more.

On opening day, the competition begins for all ages from 5 to 95.  Entries are made in thousands of classes of antiques, flowers, farm and garden products, sewing, hand crafts, creative arts, photography, wood working and more.  Unique to our Fair is the school exhibit composed of over 1200 individual student entries from elementary students in the county.  The gladiolus show starts on Sunday.  People’s Hall is the focal point of these activities.

At the South end of the Fairgrounds is the Griffith House and an extensive collection of farm and home antiques in the Rural Museum, large antique barn, blacksmith shop and sawmill.  Crafts of open-hearth cooking, weaving, blacksmithing, and old-time equipment functions are on display daily.  Buildings open at 11 am daily.

If horses are your interest, open horse shows are Saturday, Sunday, and Sunday evening with a Draft Horseshow Thursday evening and a Horse Pull closing Saturday.  4-H Horse shows are Monday through Wednesday.   Tractors of all types will entertain.  Opening Saturday evening with a Stock Tractor Pull, Wednesday evening with Garden Tractor Pull, Friday mid-day with an antique display, and Friday and closing Saturday evenings with the big ESP tractor pulls.

From Thursday through closing Saturday the barn complex showcases the open competition for the dairy, beef, sheep and swine categories.

No Fair experience is complete without the food and more fun and games. Food vendors, the Firemen’s hot dog and ice cream stands, and the Fair restaurant will be serving up an assortment of delicious goodies, including beef on weck, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, pizza, French fries, ice cream, milkshakes and staples such as taffy, candy apples, fried dough, waffles and funnel cakes. Rides and games for all ages will be on the midway at the center of the Fairgrounds. Visitors may enjoy them daily from 12 pm – 5 pm and 6 pm – 10 pm daily.
