On 8/7/2024, Mark W. McWethy, 56, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
Police were called to the parking lot of 7-Eleven on East Main Street, for the report of a person slumped over the wheel of a vehicle. During the investigation, police located crack cocaine and prescription pills inside the vehicle.
McWethy was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
On 8/6/2024, Eric A. Spikes, 47, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. It’s alleged that Spikes failed to update his address, as he is required to do.
He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.
On 7/31/2024, Tanisha A. Nealy, 36, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Menacing 2nd degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
It’s alleged that Nealy threatened another person with a knife during an altercation on Holland Avenue. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released. Nealy is due back in court on 8/20/2024.

On 8/5/2024, Eric J. Flowers, Randy G. Leach, Sara J. Anzalone, Christopher L. Rebmann and Shanda L Williams were all arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. The arrests stem from a traffic stop that was conducted by members of the Batavia Police NET Unit. During the stop, K9 Batu was requested to the scene. He alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the car. Officers subsequently searched the car and located crack cocaine, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia. All of the occupants of the vehicle were issued appearance tickets and are due in Batavia City Court on 8/13/2024.

On 7/31/2024, Dominic D. Czerniak, 25, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass 2nd degree. Czerniak allegedly illegally entered another person’s residence on 7/30/2024. Czerniak was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court on 8/20/2024.

On 8/2/2024, Todd S. Esposito, 53, of Rochester, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Esposito was stopped on Clinton Street for a vehicle and traffic violation. After an investigation, it was determined that Esposito was allegedly intoxicated. He was issued traffic tickets and is due in court at a later date.

On 7/28/2024, Todd L. Kraft, 37, of Niagara Falls, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Kraft was stopped on West Main Street for a vehicle and traffic violation. After an investigation, it was determined that Kraft was allegedly intoxicated. Kraft was issued several traffic tickets and is due in court at a later date.
