On 8/13/2024, Nathanial S. Thompson, 23, of Albion, NY, was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Conspiracy 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, and Grand Larceny 3rd degree.

Thompson allegedly broke into Barrett’s Batavia Marine on 5/27/2024 and stole multiple guns. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail, without bail. He is due back in court, on 9/11/2024.
On 8/5/2024, Paul R. Hoffman, 50, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested and charged with Failure to Report a Change of Address as a Sex Offender. It’s alleged that Hoffman moved but failed to update his address as he is required to do as a Level 2 Sex Offender. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

On 8/9/2024, Nicole L. Cramer, 34, of Batavia, NY was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Mischief 4th degree. It’s alleged that Cramer damaged a door during an altercation on Columbia Avenue on 2/22/2022. Police located Cramer in a vehicle during a traffic stop on East Main Street on 8/9/24 and arrested Cramer. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

On 8/8/2024, Lynn C. Fryling, 75, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Harassment 2nd degree. Fryling allegedly threatened to shoot another person during an argument on Redfield Parkway. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 8/20/2024.

On 8/10/2024, Mark W. McWethy, 56, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. It’s alleged that McWethy stole merchandise from Tops at 390 West Main Street. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 8/20/2024.
