The City of Batavia Fire Department continues to dominate over the City of Batavia Police Department in the annual Battle of the Badges softball game. City Fire came out on top 23-3 in 9 innings of play at Dwyer Stadium, the home of the Batavia Muckdogs on Sunday evening.
City Fire holds a 3-1 record. Last year, Batavia PD squeaked out a win late in the game, winning 14-13. This year is the first time the event raised funds to benefit Batavia Youth Baseball, tickets were $10 at the door.
Batavia PD vows to take the cup in the 3rd Annual Battle of the Badges hockey game next year at the McCarthy Ice Arena on Evans Street.
Both events are organized by the Batavia Muckdogs and CAN-USA Sports.
