WROTB offers president/CEO job to Buffalo Mayor Brown

The board of directors of the public benefit company at 4:29 p.m. today announced that it will be negotiating with Brown on a contract to replace Henry Wojtaszek, who will be leaving the corporation at the end of the year.

No starting date nor salary was disclosed.

Directors met in executive session for nearly 5 1/2 hours today interviewing Brown and another candidate. Personnel Committee Chairman Elliott Winter (Niagara County) made the announcement in front of several print, radio and television media outlet representatives.

Winter said that the board expects Brown, if he agrees to terms, to begin employment before the end of the year to work with Wojtaszek “to get up to speed.” Brown is required to get a gaming license from the New York State Gaming Commission before he can start.
