Zailen Griffin scored a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter for Batavia, Carter Mullen and Justin Smith added two more in the second quarter and the Blue Devils held a 26-0 lead at half time over the newly paired Le Roy/Cal-Mum Rivals.
The Blue Devils added one more score to make it 32-0 in the third. With 10:53 remaining in the 4th quarter, the game was called due to weather as thunderstorms rolled through. The final score, Batavia 32, the Rivals 0.
Next Saturday, Batavia will take on Vertus Charter at Marina Auto Stadium at 1:00p.m.
Le Roy/Cal Mum will take on Dansville/Wayco at Hamilton Field in Cal-Mum at 7:00p.m. on Friday, September 13th.
