The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office is inviting the public to nominate their favorite business to be considered for one of the “business of the year” awards annually presented by the Chamber.
Awards will be given for Small Business (1-10 employees), Large Business (11+ employees), Agri-Business (any size involved in agriculture industry), Tourism Business (i.e. restaurant, shops, breweries), Tourism Attraction (i.e. larger hospitality/tourism sector venues), and Most Promising New Business (less than 2 years old). The Chamber is also inviting nominations for the Woman in Business award. This award will be presented to a female entrepreneur, business owner, or manager to highlight their achievements, leadership and contributions to the business community.
Anyone may make a nomination (one nomination per category).
Nominations can be made by visiting www.WyCoChamber.org and clicking on the nomination form. Simply enter the business name, select the nomination type, and state the reasons for the award. You may be contacted for additional information or clarification. You may also print the form and submit it to The Wyoming County Chamber at 36 Center Street, Warsaw, NY 14569.
The criteria for selecting award recipients are based on actions such as an expansion projects, job growth, community involvement, or for contributions to the strength of a particular industry sector.
The nominated business must be a member of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce. If unsure, please visit the Chamber’s online membership directory available on the website. Once all the nominations are in and closed, the Chamber’s Board of Directors will vote on the nominees and select the winners.
