PERRY POLICE REPORT/Perry man charged after stolen vehicle investigation

PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident on September 8, 2024, after an investigation into a stolen vehicle complaint.

Joseph V. McLean, 63, of Perry, was arrested following an investigation into a stolen vehicle report. McLean, without permission or the knowledge of the owner, allegedly took a neighbor’s vehicle to the City of Rochester on September 1, 2024. While in Rochester, the vehicle was stolen from McLean. The vehicle was recovered by the Rochester Police Department approximately a week later.

McLean is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

McLean was arrested and processed on September 8, 2024 at the Perry Police Department. He will appear in court on October 8, 2024 at 1:00p.m. to answer the charge.
