BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/Batavia man charged with felony assault and robbery after altercation

On 9/22/2024, Matthew R. Taylor, 41, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Assault 1st degree, Robbery 1st degree, and Menacing 3rd degree. It’s alleged that Taylor was involved in an altercation with another person on East Main Street, during which he demanded money and caused serious injury to the other person. Taylor was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.

On 9/21/2024, Christina L. Riley, 36, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery 3rd degree, Grand Larceny 4th degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Harassment 2nd degree. Riley allegedly engaged in a physical fight with another person and attempted to steal their cellphone, while several children were present. Riley was arraigned in CAP Court and released. She is due in Batavia City Court on 10/1/2024.

On 9/22/2024, Michael J. Holler, 38, of Rochester, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Holler was initially arrested for Petit Larceny on 9/18/2024. The warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released. He is due in Batavia City Court on 10/3/2024.

On 9/22/2024, Gracien R. Ibambasi, 30, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Menacing 3rd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. It’s alleged that Ibambasi threatened another person in the presence of two children. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released. He is due back in court, on 9/26/2024.

On 9/14/2024, Phillip P. Heale, 46, and Jessica D. Delcour, 41, both of Batavia, NY, were both arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. It’s alleged that Heale and Delcour stole merchandise from Aldi. During the investigation, it was determined that Heal and Delcour had also stolen from the store, on 8/9/2024. They were both charged with an additional count of Petit Larceny for that incident. Both were issued appearance tickets and are due in Batavia City Court on 9/24/2024.

On 9/20/2024, Jennifer A. Schellerer, 38, of Batavia, NY, and Dennis J. Williamson, 42, of Rome, NY, were each arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Police were called to the Mobil gas station on East Main Street for the report of two people passed out in a vehicle. During the investigation, Schellerer and Williamson were allegedly found to be in possession of crack cocaine. Williamson was also charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree for allegedly possessing a stolen license plate. He is also facing several vehicle and traffic infractions. Both were issued appearance tickets and are due in Batavia City Court on 10/1/2024.

On 9/17/2024, Patrick O. Spikes, 43, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Harassment 2nd degree. It’s alleged that Spikes punched another person during an argument on Central Avenue. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 10/1/2024.

On 9/13/2024, Jennifer L. Stack, 38, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. The warrant was issued after Stack was found to allegedly be in possession of crack cocaine during a traffic stop on 1/18/2024. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
