On September 24, 2024, at approximately 10:40a.m., Deputy Hadsall was advised by Genesee County Dispatch that a vehicle had fled from an Erie County Sheriff’s Deputy after a theft of clothing items from TJ Maxx.
Deputy Hadsall observed the vehicle traveling east on Rt. 20 in Darien and attempted to stop the vehicle which failed to yield to emergency lights. After a pursuit, the vehicle crashed in the front lawn of a
residence in the Town of Byron on Rt. 237. The occupants then fled from the vehicle but two were later found in a corn field by a Genesee County K9.
The operator of the vehicle, Sugeiry Vazquez, 36, of Otis Street, Rochester, NY, was arrested
and taken to the Genesee County Jail for processing.
Vazquez is charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer on a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment 1st degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle/unlicensed driver and a speed violation/exceeding 55 mph.
Vazquez was held for Genesee County CAP court on September 24, 2024 at approximately 7:00p.m.
Vazquez was released under supervision.
