GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/October 7, 2024

Morris M. Taylor, 34, of Albion, NY, is charged with DWI/previous conviction within 10 years, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway and speeding in a zone, after a traffic stop on W. Main Street in Batavia for traffic violations on October 6, 2024 at 2:34a.m.

After an investigation, it is alleged that Taylor was intoxicated by alcohol.

Tayor was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was held pending a CAP Court arraignment.

John R. Kormos, 55, of Parma, OH., is charged with DWI, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway and moving from a lane unsafely following a traffic stop on Rt. 98 in the Town of Elba on October 5, 2024 at 9:24p.m.

Kormos was held for CAP Court.

Melanie L. Maloney, 43, and Malarie J. Smart, 37, both of Pembroke, NY, are each charged with petit larceny and conspiracy 6th degree after a shoplifting incident at Walmart at 4133 Veteran’s Memorial Drive on October 3, 2024.

Maloney and Smart allegedly skip scanned items totaling $112.90 at the self-checkout.

Both were issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Batavia Court on November 12, 2024 at 3:00p.m.

Joni M. Johnson, 49, of Buffalo, NY, is charged with resisting arrest and petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise at Dick’s Sporting Goods at 4300 Veteran’s Memorial Drive on October 4, 2024 at 6:20p.m.

Johnson resisted arrest when deputies apprehended her.

She was held at the Genesee County Jail pending arraignment in CAP court on October 5, 2024.

Timothy D. Clark, 54, of Rochester, NY, and Ryan M. Bobzin, 35, of Bergen, NY are each charged with petit larceny and conspiracy 6th degree after allegedly stealing merchandise from Dollar General on Townline Road in Byron on September 30, 2024 at 9:26p.m.

Clark and Bobzin will appear in Byron Town Court on November 4, 2024 at 4:00p.m.

Edward M. Gorski, 42, of Pembroke, NY, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd degree after allegedly violating a stay away order of protection by going to the protected party’s residence on October 3, 2024.

Gorski was transported to the Genesee County Jail and was held for a CAP Court arraignment.
