The Annual Family Fun Day and Dachshund Races are set for this Sunday at Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel. Sixty-four dachshunds will compete to be named the fastest wiener dog in Western New York. Winners of each heat will earn free play, while the top three in the championship race will be awarded free play, food vouchers, and a complimentary hotel stay.
Family related activities will take place between 12 and 2pm. There will be on site entertainers including face painting, balloon artists and magicians as well as a kettle corn stand, pumpkin decorating (for kids 12 and under), carriage rides, & pony rides.
The wiener dog races will commence at 2pm. With the Buffalo Football team not playing until Monday Night, guests won’t have to worry about missing their favorite football team play on Sunday.
