The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a high-speed pursuit that started in the City of Batavia and ended in the Town of Le Roy, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.
Deputies from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a larceny that occurred around 4:21 PM at Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Town of Batavia. It was reported that two males had attempted to conceal a large amount of store merchandise and fled the store in a silver Honda Accord.
Deputies Hadsall, Chamoun, and Dimmig attempted to stop a vehicle matching the reported
description. The vehicle initially stopped for responding deputies but fled the scene shortly after they made contact at the Intersection of State Route 98 and Park Road.
Responding deputies pursued the vehicle onto the New York State Thruway, where the suspects began to discard stolen property as they fled. The pursuit continued from the Thruway onto the Interstate 490 East bound, where the suspect vehicle was ultimately stopped by the combined efforts of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, and Le Roy Village Police Department.
The suspects are identified as Supreme R. Hines and Eric L. Ball Jr./no ages or addresses provided

Tampering With Physical Evidence
Attempted Grand Larceny 4th degree
Criminal Possession of Stolen property 5th degree
Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree
Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree
Conspiracy 6th degree
Ball Jr. was arrested and charged with the following charges:
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Attempted Grand Larceny 4th degree
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property degree
Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree
Conspiracy 6th degree
Hines was issued multiple Uniform Traffic Tickets and was held for Genesee County CAP Court.
Ball was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia Town Court. Ball is due to appear on November 12th, 2024 at 3:00 PM
