Local businesses and organizations can help the non-profit raise 50% of its goal before bell ringing begins
Press release
The Salvation Army of Batavia will kick off its 2024 Red Kettle Campaign this month with the goal of raising $100,000. The annual fundraiser supports Salvation Army programs and services in Genesee County throughout the year.
“Our annual Red Kettle Campaign aims to raise funds so we can provide warm clothing, holiday meals, and gifts to families in need,” said Captain Bradley Moore of The Salvation Army of Batavia. “As well as funding our efforts to support those in need year-round through our family service programs, this annual Campaign is an opportunity for us to spread joy and make a meaningful impact in our community.”
As part of this year’s Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army is seeking support from local businesses and organizations to help the non-profit raise 50% of its goal before bellringing outside of select locations even begins.
“The past few years we have seen a decrease in funds raised during Red Kettle season,” Captain Moore added. “It is only through the community’s generosity that we can respond to those in need 365 days a year through our services and programs as all funds raised stay local to make a difference right here in our community.”
Specifically, local businesses and organizations can help in the following ways:
· Donations: Financial contributions, gift items, or other resources that can directly benefit those who The Salvation Army of Batavia serves. Donations to The Salvation Army of Batavia can be made at any Red Kettle location, or online by visiting https://salarmy.us/BataviaNYRedKettle. Cash or checks can be dropped off, or mailed to, The Salvation Army of Batavia, 529 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
· Volunteers: Individuals or teams who are interested in assisting with ringing the bell at various locations during the 2024 kettle campaign can text TSAVolunteer to 31333.
