Deputy Jacob Kipler/Genesee County Sheriff’s Office/center/Deputy Kipler has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2022. He is a licensed drone operator for the department. He is also fully trained in standardized field sobriety testing and advanced roadside impaired driving enforcement.
Officer Tyler Mummery/Le Roy Police Department/left/Officer Mummery has been with the Le Roy Police Department since 2022. He currently is assigned to night shift patrol. Officer Mummery leads his department in DWI and drug arrests.
Officer Joseph Weglarski/City of Batavia Police Department/right/Officer Weglarski has been with BPD since May of 2022. Previously, he was a Public Safety Dispatcher in Erie County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and clinical science from SUNY Fredonia. He also attended basic training at Alfred State Police Academy. Officer Weglarski works the third platoon with BPD and has excelled at DWI enforcement. This is the second year in a row he has been recognized as Batavia’s Top Cop.
The TOP COP Award is presented annually to an officer from each law enforcement agency who has obtained the highest number of DWI arrests over the course of a year. The luncheon was held at Grace Baptist Church on Vine Street in Batavia.


Jacob Caskinette won the Grand Prize for his Computer-Generated Art. His design will be placed on a billboard in Genesee County.
