Renee Robbins-Yonkin-a Family Nurse Practitioner has opened Renee Marie Aesthetics and Wellness at Batavia City Centre next to Guler Cardiology.

Renee Robbins-Yonkin, a Batavia native, opened her business in Elma at 2355 Bowen Road a little under 2 years ago. Since October, Yonkin has been working at Guler Cardiology in Batavia, and with the help of some friends, decided to open up a second location for her business at City Centre.

“So, I live in Batavia and my family is here. I’ve had a tremendous amount of support, not just with friends, and family, but coworkers reaching out, it’s been wonderful. This is my home, so to be able to bring this here is nice,” says Yonkin.

Yonkin graduated from Syracuse University at Utica College with a bachelor’s in nursing and received her master’s at D’Youville as a Family Practice Nurse. She worked as an RN at Rochester Regional and as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Oak Orchard Health.

“I’m really up with the fitness and the nutrition aspect. Not only that, just supplements, I try to do things as natural as possible. I like a more holistic approach, but I also do medication, if it’s needed. I also do the EMS sculpt machine, so it’s body sculpting. And I also have Glo2Facials that I offer. And those are basically advanced facials for people. They tighten, rejuvenate your skin for all types of skin, and you can actually use it on the whole body.”

Yonkin says she had renovated the space and has two treatment rooms and a consult room, along with a waiting room and office space. Yonkin says she is looking to eventually add massage and make the location a wellness center.

Part of what prompted Yonkin to create her business was a family member having a heart attack.

“I am very much into health and wellness after that, especially, but I was before, but that really pushed me and motivated me. I feel like people trust me. I’m always very honest. If I can help you, I will, if you know, if I can’t, then I try to find someone that can. I really have a passion for helping people feel better about themselves, getting healthier, and it just is a great feeling when someone tells you you’ve changed their life.”
