BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/December 17, 2024

On 12/2/2024, Megan J. Courtney, 28, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree and Petit Larceny. It’s alleged that Courtney stole items from Dollar General on 12/1.

Police were initially unable to identify her, until she returned to the store the following day, attempting to return the stolen items. Courtney was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 12/10/2024.

On 12/8/2024, Kody A. Wenzel, 32, of Batavia, NY was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. The warrant stems from an incident on 8/4/2023, where Wenzel was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine. Wenzel was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

On 12/3/2024, Robin F. Schmitt, 40, of Oakfield, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. Schmitt allegedly stole merchandise from Dollar General. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court, on 12/17/2024.

On 12/5/2024, Lisa M. Fox, 53, of Albion, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree, and a vehicle and traffic violation.

Fox was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, during a traffic stop on Richmond Avenue. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 12/17/2024.

On 12/10/2024, Dana L. Manes, 60, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny and Conspiracy 6th degree. It’s alleged that Manes stole merchandise from Tops. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 12/17/2024.
