Pembroke’s Scholastic Bowl team finished in first place this season.
This year, the championship final consisted of Akron, Pembroke, and Notre Dame.
In a close 3-round match at GVBOCES Batavia Campus on March 6th, Pembroke earned the victory, scoring 230 points, with Akron finishing 2nd with 210 points, and Notre Dame finishing 3rd with 140 points.
Scholastic Bowl is a quiz competition where students from 12 area schools face off in weekly matches, answering questions in all academic areas, sports, the arts, and current events. Points are accumulated throughout the 6-week season and the top 7 teams face off in a semi-final round. The 3 winning teams compete in a championship final.
