According to Chief Eckdahl, total calls for service in 2024 was 283. 65%-70% were EMS calls, the remaining calls were fire service type calls such as structure fires, motor vehicle collisions, gas leaks, water problems, CO Alarms and providing mutual aid to neighboring districts.
The Stafford Fire Department completed 1193 hours of training for both EMS and Fire.
979 hours were spent on fire training topics, from SCBA confidence, hose line skills, ladder training, ventilation, gas emergencies, EVOC, vehicle extrication, electric vehicle fire, battery fires, and pump operations to name a few.
214 hours were spent on EMS training topics, from CPR, blood pathogens, basic first aid, firefighter CPR, patient extrication, patient packaging along with completing paperwork after calls.
Chandah Sundown, not pictured, was the top Fire training hour recipient and Randal Henning was the top EMS training hour recipient, with Chief Timothy Eckdahl.
