On April 11, 2017, Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s responded to Route 78, Town of Sheldon, the Red Apple, for a report of a male subject that was passed out in the driver\u2019s seat of a car in the parking lot.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, Blake Cooper,20, of Java, NY,\u00a0 was responsive.<\/p>\n
Deputy Sampson observed three hypodermic instruments (syringes) along with suspected heroin baggies on and around Cooper in plain view.<\/p>\n
Strykersville Ambulance, along with Medic\u2019s checked Copper out for health concerns.<\/p>\n
Cooper signed off on any further medical treatment.<\/p>\n
Cooper was administered sobriety tests and failed.<\/p>\n
He was brought back to the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s office where further testing by a Drug Recognition Expert was completed and found Cooper to be under the influence of heroin.<\/p>\n
