Two adults and an infant who lived in the upstairs apartment were checked out on scene by Mercy EMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One cat was able to get out of the house on its own and one other cat was rescued by firefighters and given oxygen on scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The resident in the lower apartment was also affected with some water damage in the kitchen area. She is okay and is staying with family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upstairs apartment suffered fire, smoke and water damage in the bathroom area. The cause of the fire appears to be electrical according to City of Batavia Fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The utilities have been shut off to the structure.
