After an investigation, Niasia S. Jiggetts, 28, of Thomas Ave., Batavia, is charged with two counts of assault 2nd, a class D felony, person less than 7 years old, after she allegedly struck a child with an object, causing injury to the child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first incident occurred on W. Main street road in Batavia on June 30, 2019, it involved a five year old. The second incident occurred on W. Main street road on September 21, 2017 and involved a three year old child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jiggetts was arrested on September 23, 2019 and arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court. She is due back in the Town of Batavia Court on October 21, 2019. Jiggetts will appear in City Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incidents are being investigated by Howard Carlson and Timothy Wescott at the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott P. Bumbarger, 25, of S. Lake Ave., Bergen, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and uninspected motor vehicle after a traffic stop for an uninspected vehicle on Clinton street in Bergen on September 20, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bumbarger was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Bergen Town Court on October 2, 2019 at 5:00p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
