In the last game before sectionals, the Fighting Irish were able to shut down any offensive threat from the Trojans, on the ground and in the air. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gabe Macdonald set the tone of the game early with an interception in the first quarter that resulted in a touchdown for Macdonald who forced his way through a wall of Alexander players. The two point conversion was good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 1:10 left in the first quarter, Macdonald tossed a long pass to Mark Sanders to make the score 14-0. Going for two in the conversion play made it 16-0 at the end of the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the second, Jedidiah Reese weaved his way through the defense and made the score 22-0. The two point conversion was good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another interception late in the second quarter by Mark Sanders led to another touchdown by Macdonald at the buzzer to make it 30-0. The two point conversion was good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the half it was 32-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the third quarter there was no scoring.<br>\nIn the fourth quarter, Notre Dame added one more TD and a two point conversion and the final score was 40-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notre Dame will be the number one seed in Class D for their home sectional game next weekend and Alexander will be the number two seed in their home sectional game next week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was the battle of the unbeatens in Class D on Friday night in Alexander.
