Careless smoking is the cause if a house fire that caused $65,000 in damages to a home at 10 Ribaud Avenue in the Village of Silver Springs on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
Five fire companies responded to the home about 4:35a.m.<\/p>\n
One occupant of the home, owned by Myra Broman, suffered burns and was treated at the scene. Barry Schell was also a resident there.<\/p>\n
Both Broman and Schell are being assisted by the Red Cross and will be staying with family members.<\/p>\n
Fire crews from Silver Springs, Castile, Perry, Gainesville and Warsaw were on scene for about 5 hours.<\/p>\n
