ON FEBRUARY 29, 2020, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF CRACK COCAINE IN THE VILLAGE OF ALBION, N.Y., CONDUCTED BY ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE, THE GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF\u2019S OFFICE ARRESTED AN INDIVIDUAL ON AN ORLEANS COUNTY SEALED INDICTMENT WARRANT FOR DRUG SALE AND POSSESION CHARGES. WHILE BEING PLACED INTO CUSTODY BY THE GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF\u2019S OFFICE, THE INDIVIDUAL WAS FOUND TO BE IN POSSESION OF APPROX. 11 GRAMS OF CRACK COCAINE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIBSON WAS ARRAIGNED IN ORLEANS COUNTY COURT BY THE HON. SANFORD CHURCH AND WAS RELEASED DUE TO THE NEW YORK STATE BAIL REFORM LAWS, ALTHOUGH GIBSON HAS 3 PREVIOUS FELONY CONVICTIONS AND FACES MORE FELONY CHARGES IN GENESEE COUNTY. AKEEM R. GIBSON IS TO RETURN TO ORLEANS COUNTY COURT ON MARCH 19, 2020 AT 10:30 A.M. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AFTER GIBSON WAS ARRAIGNED IN ORLEANS COUNTY COURT, HE WAS TURNED OVER TO THE GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF\u2019S OFFICE AND CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES IN GENESEE COUNTY, WHICH INCLUDES, 1 COUNT OF CRIMINAL POSSESION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE. (CLASS B FELONY). AND 1 COUNT OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE FOURTH DEGREE.(CLASS C FELONY). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

HE IS ALSO CHARGED WITH VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
