<\/p>\nOn June 9, 2017, the Albion Police Department and COVA Ambulance were dispatched to an apartment building located at 175 North Main Street in the Village of Albion for a report person injured following a physical altercation.<\/p>\n
Albion Police Department Officers arrived on scene and found a 53-year-old male with severe head injuries. The victim was transported to the Medina Memorial Hospital by COVA Ambulance and then transferred to Buffalo General Hospital by Mercy Flight.<\/p>\n
The Albion Police Department investigation indicated that the victim was assaulted by Wesley Askew Jr., 49, who is an acquaintance of the victim.<\/p>\n

Both Askew and the victim reside at 175 North Main Street.<\/p>\n
The victim is currently listed in critical condition. His name is being withheld pending family notification.<\/p>\n
Askew is charged with assault 2nd, a D-felony, assault 1st, a B-felony, attempted murder 2nd, an A-felony and is currently in the Orleans County Jail on $250,000.00 bail.<\/p>\n
