Deputies responded to report of a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Covington on March 17, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The caller, Blake Stowell, 25, of Covington, reported to Wyoming County 911 that he had been \u201cside swiped\u201d by an erratic driver while traveling in the Town of Perry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stowell denied causing any property damage and ensured deputies that he was not the cause of the accident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Stowell allegedly drove off of the road and caused damage to a mailbox before leaving the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stowell is charged with moving from lane unsafely, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and falsely reporting an incident to law enforcement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was released on an appearance ticket and will be required to appear in the Town of Perry Court at a later date to answer his charges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tyler J. Mills, 20, of Attica, was charged with speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop on Route 246 in the Town of Covington on March 17, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mills was stopped for traveling 71mph in a marked 55mph zone and was found to allegedly possess marijuana and smoking paraphernalia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mills was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Covington Court at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
