The Genesee County Local Drug Task Force and uniformed officers arrested a Batavia man after a traffic stop on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Abdullah H. Shareef, 36, of East Ave., Batavia, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class B felony, unlawful possession of marijuana and promoting prison contraband 2nd after officers stopped a vehicle he was in.<\/p>\n

Shareef was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana during the traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Once at the Genesee County Jail, Shareef was allegedly found to be in possession of additional quantity of cocaine and marijuana.<\/p>\n

He was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and jailed without bail.<\/p>\n

Uniformed members of the City of Batavia Police Department and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office assisted Task Force members with the arrest.<\/p>\n
