He also told the court his client remains in compliance with the rules of Genesee Justice.<\/p>\n<p>The case was then adjourned for filing motions.<\/p>\n<p>Ace will next appear in the Town of Batavia Court February 27, 2017 at 10:30a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Ace is accused of leaving two of her children, both two years old, home alone inside her residence on State street road on May 20, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>While Ace was away from the residence, a structure fire occurred claiming the life of Ace&#8217;s two children Micah and Michael.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the fire originated either inside of or in close proximity to their bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the fire remains undetermined.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheriff&#8217;s Office says Ace left her children alone for about 90 minutes without providing or arranging for supervision for the children.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, Ace left the children locked in their bedroom to purchase weed and visit friends.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heather Ace, 25, of Stafford, appeared in the Town of Batavia Court Monday morning with her new attorney Benjamin Bonarigo Sr. Previously Ace was being represented by Public Defender Jerry Ader.
