Devon A. Wright, 18, of Highland Park, Batavia, is facing more charges after being arrested April 22nd for an incident on April 8, 2020 where Wright allegedly intentionally struck a pedestrian with his car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following an investigation into sex abuse involving children under the age of 15, Wright was arrested on April 29, 2020 and charged with two counts of criminal sexual act 2nd, a class D felony, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child less than 17 and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sex abuse is alleged to have occurred on November 26, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright left the scene of the car pedestrian incident in early April and was located during a traffic stop at the end of April and charged with one count of attempted assault 1st, a class C felony, one count resisting arrest, one count obstructing governmental administration 2nd, two counts of criminal mischief 4th, one count of criminal nuisance 2nd, and one count of harassment 2nd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright was jailed on $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, $50,000 partially secured bond. He is currently out of jail on bail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright is scheduled to appear in City Court on May 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in regards to the April 8th incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation into the sexual abuse is ongoing and there are believed to be additional juvenile victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
