The customer suffered a hand injury after his hand was closed in the trunk, but he was not struck by the car.<\/p>\n<p>A second customer then attempted to stop the vehicle, a red four door Nissan, from backing out of the parking spot by blocking the car with his vehicle. The suspect vehicle then struck that customer&#8217;s vehicle and suffered rear damage to the trunk.<\/p>\n<p>A third customer attempted to block the vehicle with his car as the suspect vehicle left the parking lot. That customer&#8217;s vehicle was also damaged.<\/p>\n<p>The red 4 door Nissan was able to get away on the NYS Thruway.<\/p>\n<p>After a few minutes, State Police located the suspect vehicle on a side road behind the Scottsville Service area of the thruway. It had crashed and there was air bag deployment.<\/p>\n<p>After the vehicle was located, a woman who reportedly rented the vehicle from a rental company in Monroe County called the rental location in Monroe County asking to put insurance coverage on the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>One person was taken into custody for questioning.<\/p>\n<p>The Genesee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office is investigating the incident and looking for suspects.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was described as a black male with a blue shirt and blue shorts.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information can call the Sheriff&#8217;s Office at 585-343-5000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several customers at a home improvement store parking lot on Veterans Memorial Drive attempted to stop a larceny in progress.
