On May 18, 2020 at approximately 11:55 A.M., Troopers responded to State Route 262 just east of S. Lake Road in the town of Bergen for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further investigation revealed that a 2012 Nissan Rogue operated by David A. Yulfo, 28 was traveling east on State Route 262 and crossed into the west bound lane and onto the shoulder striking a runner, Kara G. Hall, 25 of Bergen, NY.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nissan continued traveling off the roadway striking a fire hydrant and coming to rest after striking a tree.\u00a0 Yulfo was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Hall was pronounced deceased at the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, Bergen Fire Department and the Genesee County Sheriff\u2019s Office assisted with this investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
