JW Hardy III, age 30, of 216 Liberty Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with assault 1st<\/sup> and gang assault 1st<\/sup> in reference to the stabbing that occurred overnight at 318 East Main Street. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Both charges are class B felonies. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hardy III was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge Balbick and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hardy III is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The investigation is still ongoing at this time.<\/strong><\/p>\n
