On July 29, 2020 the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Batavia arrested Colleen L. Nelson, 49, of Alabama, NY for Attempted Murder 2nd<\/sup> degree, Attempted Assault 1st<\/sup> degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th<\/sup> degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 29, 2020 at 1:30 P.M., Troopers out of SP Batavia responded to South Main Street in the town of Elba for a stabbing.  Further investigation revealed that Nelson came up behind another employee and began to stab him with a large knife.  The 59-year-old victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  Nelson was arrested and taken to SP Batavia for processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nelson is being arraigned at the city of Batavia Court and remanded to Genesee County Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
